Born in 1984, Clément Mitéran has been practicing photography as a self-taught artist since his early youth. After studying philosophy at Paris VIII University–Vincennes, he spent three years in Italy training in mosaic techniques at the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli in Spilimbergo, from which he graduated in 2008.
He then settled in Wissous (Essonne), where he has lived and worked ever since. His work quickly focused on portraiture, which he explores through various approaches using both mosaic and photography.
His works have been exhibited in France, Italy, and Japan, including a solo exhibition at the National Museum of Ravenna (Italy) in 2017, and at the unRepresented by Approche fair in Paris in 2024.
Alongside Laurent Lafolie and under the curatorship of Michel Poivert, he will exhibit at the Raccolta Lercaro in Bologna (Italy) from September 2025 to February 2026.
